Product Mapping Issues

Fix product mapping problems and ensure files are correctly linked to products.

Mapped files not appearing:

Check mapping:

  • Products → Select product → Digital Files
  • Mapped files: Should show file list
  • If empty: Files not mapped

Fix: Map files to product

  1. Products → Select product
  2. Digital Files → Add Files
  3. Select files from library
  4. Save mapping

Product missing from list:

Causes:

  • Product not published
  • Product archived
  • Wrong store view
  • Search not working

Solutions:

  1. Check product status: Published
  2. Refresh product list
  3. Search by SKU instead of name
  4. Check correct store/market
  5. Sync products (if out of date)

Same file mapped multiple times:

Not an error - intentional feature Use case: Same file in multiple products

Example:

  • Bonus-Guide.pdf →
    • Starter Pack
    • Premium Pack
    • Ultimate Bundle

Benefit: Single file, multiple products, one storage

Remove duplicate: Unmap from unwanted products


Auto-map by SKU not working:

Check filename pattern: Required: {SKU}_{filename}.ext Example: COURSE-001_chapter-1.pdf

Troubleshoot:

  1. Verify SKU in filename
  2. Check product SKU exists
  3. Match case-sensitive
  4. Remove special characters
  5. Check confidence threshold (Settings)

Manual alternative: Map files individually


Pack not appearing in product:

Check:

  1. Pack created (Files → Packs)
  2. Files added to pack
  3. Pack mapped to product
  4. Pack not archived

Fix: Products → Product → Digital Files → Add Pack → Select pack → Save


“X files unmapped” warning:

Meaning: Files uploaded but not linked to any product Impact: Files exist but customers can’t download

Action needed:

  1. Files → Filter: Unmapped
  2. Review each file
  3. Map to appropriate products
  4. Or delete if no longer needed

Prevention: Map files immediately after upload


Contact support if mapping issues persist.
