Customizing Email Templates

Learn how to customize your download notification emails with your branding, messaging, and design preferences.

Accessing Email Template Editor

  1. Navigate to Email Settings in the main menu
  2. Email customization interface opens

❌ Click here!!!

Subject Line Best Practices

Do:

  • Include shop name
  • Be specific and clear
  • Use customer name (personalization)
  • Keep under 50 characters
  • Test on mobile

Don’t:

  • Use all caps
  • Overuse punctuation!!!
  • Use spam trigger words (FREE, URGENT, ACT NOW)
  • Make it too long
  • Leave it blank

  • Line breaks: Press Enter

Not supported:

  • Images (except logo)
  • Complex HTML
  • Custom fonts (use email-safe fonts)

Color Accessibility

Ensure sufficient contrast:

  • Dark button with white text
  • Light background with dark text
  • Test readability

Use tools:

Logo Customization

  1. Find Logo Upload section
  2. Click Upload Logo button
  3. Select image file (PNG, JPG, SVG)
  4. Logo appears in email header

Logo Requirements

Recommended specs:

  • Format: PNG (transparent background) or JPG
  • Dimensions: 600x200px max
  • File size: Under 500KB
  • Aspect ratio: Landscape (wider than tall)

Logo Size Control

  1. Find Logo Size slider
  2. Adjust size (50px - 200px)
  3. Preview updates in real-time

Size recommendations:

  • 100px: Standard (default)
  • 75px: Subtle/minimal
  • 150px: Bold/prominent
  • 200px: Maximum (use sparingly)

Logo Positioning

Logo appears in email header:

  • Centered (default)
  • Above title
  • Professional placement

To use email without logo:

  1. Click Remove Logo button
  2. OR set logo size to 0
  3. Email shows without logo

Button Customization

Button Color

  1. Find Email Button Color picker
  2. Choose color
  3. Button updates in preview

Color tips:

  • High contrast with background
  • Matches brand colors
  • Easily clickable appearance
  • Avoid red (associated with errors)

Button Rounding

Section titled “Button Rounding”

Adjust button corner radius:

  1. Find Button Rounding slider
  2. Adjust from 0 (square) to 20 (very rounded)
  3. Default: 6px

Style options:

  • 0px: Sharp, modern
  • 6px: Standard (default)
  • 12px: Friendly, approachable
  • 20px: Very rounded, playful

Button Sizing

Button automatically sizes based on text length.

Responsive behavior:

  • Desktop: Standard width
  • Mobile: Full width (easier to tap)

Solutions:

  1. Click Save Template
  2. Refresh preview
  3. Send test email to verify
  4. Clear browser cache

Colors Look Different in Email

Cause: Email clients render colors differently

Solutions:

  1. Test in multiple email clients
  2. Use web-safe colors
  3. Avoid very light/dark colors
  4. Check contrast

Logo Not Displaying

Solutions:

  1. Check file size (under 500KB)
  2. Use PNG or JPG format
  3. Re-upload logo
  4. Verify logo URL accessible
  5. Test in different email clients
